• How are prices determined?
Pricing is per package. Pricing is determined based on the size of the album & number of pages. Pricing is also based on the consumable materials (e.g. papers, adhesives, embellishments, etc.) used to construct the project as well as the time involved in designing and creating the project.
• Is the album itself a separate price?
Yes. The album is not included, however, you can provide one, or I can purchase one for you at an additional cost of $30.00.
• How long does it take to complete an album?
Once I receive the materials from you, it will take approximately 6-8 weeks to complete a 40 page album, and 4-6 weeks to complete a 20 page album.
If you have a deadline, you must contact me before you place an order to determine whether or not I can accommodate you.
• What if I’m not happy with the final product?
I will email you pictures of the pages as I complete them. If there is something you don’t like I can redo the page until we get it right.
Scrapbook Junkee is confident that you will be 100% satisfied with your order. Scrapbook Junkee strives to provide you with the highest quality products & service because your satisfaction is important. Customer is responsible for returns & shipping costs.
• How often will you email me pages?
I’ll send you photos of each page, starting with the first two I complete. Then I’ll send you four pages at a time as I complete them. However, if you want to be surprised with the album, please let me know and I will not send pages prior to completing the entire album.
• Can you include my journaling on the pages?
Yes, it is great to write up your own journaling for your pages. I will print your journaling and incorporate it into the page. I can also provide you a journaling spot for you to handwrite your journaling after you receive your album.
• Can I include my own memorabilia?
Yes. We will discuss what items you want during the consultation and determine specifically which would be best to include during your album set up.
• What do acid-free, photo-safe, and archival quality mean?
Acid is used during the paper making process. Acid can partially disintegrate your photos over time. Lignin is a natural wood product found mostly in newspaper. This is what yellows newspaper over time. "Acid-free", "photo-safe", and "archival quality" products do not fade or discolor your photos over time. I will make every effort to use only products labeled as above when making your scrapbook in order to preserve your memories for as long as possible.
• How do I provide my photos?
If your photo collection is primarily prints, you should group related photos together and put them into labeled envelopes. Then package them all together.
If your collection is digital, you should organize groups of photos into logical folders. This will make the process much easier.
You and I will discuss each layout prior to beginning the scrapbooking process. During this time, I will be able to get a sense of the look you want to achieve.
There are four options available for submitting your photos:
1. Submit electronically (.tif or .jpg) via email, ftp, or mailed cd/dvd
2. Submit original prints with permission for me to use in the layouts
3. Submit original prints to be scanned and reprinted (scanning & reprinting fees apply). Originals will be returned along with your completed order.
4. Submit duplicate prints with permission for me to use in the layouts.
• How do I pay?
Scrapbook Junkee only accepts paypal. A 50% deposit is required at the time the order is placed. The remainder of payment is due upon the completion of your project.
• How will I receive my order?
Most orders are shipped within 24-48 hours of final payment received. All items are shipped via USPS Priority Shipping. Shipping cost is calculated based on the weight of the entire order. Insurance & confirmation of delivery is included in the shipping charge.
